The City of El Reno, Oklahoma is accepting applications for an experienced Library Director to plan, manage and supervise the daily operations of the public library. Must have thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of modern library systems and programs. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in library science, liberal arts, public administration, or a closely related field (preferred); long tenure as a librarian may be substituted in place of bachelor’s degree. Chickasha Public Library seeks a Youth Services Librarian. The person to fill this position is an energetic, outgoing, team-oriented person who will supervise children’s services. Learning Assessment Librarian
Oklahoma State University, Stillwater
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Research and Learning Services, the successful candidate will continue efforts to develop and implement a model for innovative and systematic library-related assessment activities at Oklahoma State University. The Research and Learning Services Division (RLS) has recently undergone a major transformation that shifts focus away from traditional reference and collection activities and seeks to provide comprehensive research support for faculty and students in the areas of data management, open access, author rights, and altmetrics. Job Summary—Under general supervision of the Reference Services Librarian, assists patrons with information and/or directional questions in an efficient and courteous manner in the reference area. Answer s reference, reader's advisory, informational and directional questions in person, e-mail or by telephone utilizing print sources, online catalog, databases, the Internet and other electronic sources. Conducts tours of department or library for visiting groups, including school classes that utilize the library for class assignments. Conducts reference and reader 's advisory interviews to determine information needs. Works the desk and interacts positively with people of all ages and temperaments. Conducts instruction with patrons in the use of library equipment and materials. Checks availability of materials for patrons and places holds for in-house and inter-library loan reserves. Library Assistant
Ardmore Public Library
General Description—Greets and assists library patrons; maintains library records and completes computerized transactions using the library’s automation system. This multi-faceted roles involves providing research library services as well as scientific and high-level administrative support for the Vice President of Research. Responsibilities include but are not limited to acting as the liaison between OMRF and OUHSC's Bird Library to ensure continual shared access to electronic databases, books and journals. Youth Services Assistant

Summary—The Youth Services Assistant of the Mustang Public Library is a paraprofessional position who reports to the Youth Services Librarian. The position involves assisting the Youth Services Librarian with planning and implementing science-based programs for children and teens. The Youth Services Assistant also provides reference services, reader’s advisory, and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but some college will be accepted.
- Two years employment in children or teen services is desired.
- Knowledge, skills and ability to present science-based programming, such as 3-D printing, STEM-based programs and Lego building, to school-age children, tweens and teens.
- Ability to communicate and interact with youth.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with library customers, employees, Library Board, Friends of the Library and city officials.
- Good verbal and writing skills.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist Youth Services Librarian in the preparation and implementation of science-based programs for school-age children, tweens and teens.
- Provide reference services and homework assistance to youth and parents.
- Provide reader’s advisory service to young customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
